New Features for Omatic Cloud: February 2025

At Omatic, we aim to take the stress out of nonprofit data management. Since we launched Omatic Cloud, our most powerful solution for integrating nonprofit applications, we’ve been rolling out improvements to help nonprofits move data where it needs to go, quickly and accurately.

This month, we’re digging into the latest transformation capabilities in Omatic Cloud. Read on to learn how you can get your data into your CRM looking exactly how you like it with the time-consuming manual data formatting. Let’s get into it!

New Features as of February 2025

1. Use Math Calculations to Transform Data

Life is hard. So is math. Luckily, we can help you with the math part. Thanks to recent updates, you can add, subtract, multiply, and divide values directly within Omatic Cloud. This means your days of jumping between spreadsheets or doing manual calculations before syncing data are over.

Try the new calculate feature when:

• Splitting gifts by percentage across funds or solicitors
• Subtracting donor-covered fees from a gift amount
• Distributing values dynamically based on specific rules
• And more

By completing calculations within Omatic, you can both save time and reduce errors caused by manual calculations. Your finance team will love it.

2. Create Fixed-Length Character Values

Does your organization use a fixed number of characters for certain fields? Say an ID number or other type of identifier? We’ve got you covered. Omatic Cloud can now add digits or letters to a field to get your character count correct.

Use this feature to:

• Add leading zeros to an ID number to make it the appropriate length
• Re-add leading zeros to values where Excel has removed them
• Adding characters to the end of a field

3. Trim Data at the Beginning or End of a Field

Sometimes you just need to cut to the chase. In our latest release, we’re giving you more ways than ever to shorten your data and get exactly what you need into your CRM.

In the past, Omatic Cloud only supported shortening values by removing characters from the end of a field. Now, we also support shortening from the beginning of a field. With this new option, you have more flexibility to modify data and maintain formatting consistency.
