New Features for Omatic Cloud: November 2026

Computer screen with Omatic Cloud

This month, Omatic Cloud’s latest enhancements are all about reducing work that usually happens after an import: adding notes by hand, linking records one at a time, and hunting for the right formula.

If you’re still running imports in ImportOmatic Classic, you will want to take a look at these releases. Several of these updates address workflows that are still being done with our plug-in solutions, well ahead of the Raiser’s Edge NXT database view retirement in September 2027.

Expanded support for Raiser’s Edge NXT fields

System: Raiser’s Edge NXT

More details on records are able to come through during imports. Raiser’s Edge NXT records contain tons of context: the gift officer’s meeting summary, the gala guest’s dietary restrictions, a foundation payment soft credited to a donor. Until now, some of that context had to be added by hand.

We’ve added eight new mapping options to the Raiser’s Edge NXT connector. Learn how each one removes a manual step during imports:

What you can now mapWhat it means for your team
Action notes Send meeting summaries, call logs and follow-ups to the action they belong to. Choose to always add a new note, or match an existing one and update it.
Opportunity ID on actions Connect meetings and follow-ups to the opportunity they support.
Event participant notes Carry dietary needs, seating requests, and accessibility notes from registration into each participant’s record.
Linked gifts on proposalsLink a gift to a funded proposal during import, including a gift created in the same run.
Education notesSend degree honors, transfer history and other context to education records.
Education Import IDMatch on Import ID so each new registrar file updates existing records instead of creating duplicates.
Organization detailsBring in Matching Gift Factor, Number of Employees and Number of Subsidiaries on organization records.
Gift notes on recurring giftsMap a note on a recurring gift sent to a gift batch. It arrives when the batch is committed.

Will these expanded support fields enhancements affect my current data?

No, this product update won’t affect exiting data in Raiser’s Edge NXT. A blank value in your source file won’t erase good data in Raiser’s NXT. For organization details, participant notes, and linked gifts, blanks are skipped during updates. When an action note is updated, only the fields you’ve mapped change. Education Import ID is set when a record is created and never changed afterward.

[Coming Soon] Your Integrations and Data Queue: Now in One Place

System: All

Data Queue and Integration Formulas will soon be in a single Integrations page, and it will be the first thing you see when you log in to Omatic Cloud.

Before, neither page had all the tools you might require for an import. Data Queue showed your formulas as cards, organized into the tabs you set up. Integrations/Formulas listed every formula in a table, with no tabs or search, so finding one meant scrolling the whole list. With this change, all your needs are right at your fingertips.

With the new Integrations page, you can:

  • Find any formula: Search by formula name, and results narrow within the tab you’re in.
  • Work in the view that makes sense for you: Use cards for the familiar Data Queue layout, or switch to table view to see how Needs Attention records break down by bucket across your formulas.
  • Keep the tabs you built: All Formulas and every tab you created in Data Queue come with you, and both views work in each one.
  • Pick up where you left off: The page remembers the view you used last, so each person on your team opens Omatic Cloud the way they like to work.

Nothing about how your data moves is changing. Your formulas, tabs and actions work exactly as before, and old Data Queue and Integrations/Formulas bookmarks take you straight to the new page.

Recurring gifts with Blackbaud Payment Service payment tokens

System: Raiser’s Edge NXT

Now, it’s easier than ever to set up monthly donors in Raiser’s Edge NXT and charge them on schedule. When a telephone outreach or canvassing volunteer gets a supporter to sign up for a monthly donation, they send you a file with each donor, their recurring gift amount, and a secure payment token. Omatic Cloud now brings all three into Raiser’s Edge NXT together, so Blackbaud Payment Service (BBPS) can charge each donor automatically. No more retyping card numbers or setting up gifts one by one.

What’s possible with this new enhancement:

  • Create recurring gifts with payment information attached: Map the new BBPS Token and BBPS Configuration ID fields along with your constituent and gift data. Tooltips explain each payment field as you map it.
  • Review before anything is committed: Credit card recurring gifts and single gifts with a token land in a gift batch, so your team can check them before a donor is ever charged.
  • Keep the context with the gift: Map a note on the recurring gift, such as details a partner captured during sign-up, and it comes through when the batch is committed.
  • Secure payment details: Tokens and card details never appear in run history, exception reports, or support exports.

Please note that at this time, this feature enhancement is only available for customers in Australia.

Why a batch?

Once a recurring gift is created in Raiser’s Edge NXT through Blackbaud’s API, it can’t be deleted through that API. This means the batch is your checkpoint: your final chance to review. If mistakes occur, like a partner sending the same file twice, a gift processor has a chance to spot the duplicates during review and remove them before committing.
