Why We’re Excited for bbcon 2025 (And Hope You Are Too)

Pack your bags and bring your ideas: we’re getting ready for bbcon 2025, Blackbaud’s annual conference. This year, representatives from social good organizations around the world will be gathering in Philadelphia to talk technology, share ideas, and learn about the latest features for Blackbaud’s powerhouse suite of products.

As one of Blackbaud’s partners, our team at Omatic is thrilled for the opportunity to get some face-to-face time with our customers, hear updates from Blackbaud leaders, and talk about all things data with nonprofit professionals.

There will be three days’ worth of networking opportunities, informative sessions, outstanding speakers, and information sharing. We want you to get the most out of your experience. Check out our guide for what to look forward to at bbcon 2025:

1. Building personal connections, IRL

Helping nonprofits get more out of their data is our specialty. More than half of Omatic customers use at least one Blackbaud product, so we make it a priority to keep up with the latest from the company to build best-in-class integration solutions that meet our customers’ needs. We know many of our customers will be attending bbcon, and are thrilled for the opportunity to catch up with nonprofit professionals and hear how their data flows are functioning.

Stop by our booth, #321, next to Blackbaud’s product pavillion. You’ll have the opportunity to catch up with our staff, get advice from our experts, and meet other nonprofit professionals who have made data integration a priority. Stop by to say hello, share feedback, network with other Omatic customers, see a demo, and—of course—get one of our famous “Talk nerdy to me” t-shirts.

If you’re attending bbcon this year, let us know! We have slots available for meeting our team or you can stop by our booth anytime.

2. Omatic’s expert-led speaking sessions

Omatic has been in the business of helping nonprofits connect their systems with Blackbaud products for more than 20 years. Throughout that time, we have learned a lot about moving data efficiently without compromising integrity, even when there are many systems at play. We are ready to share some insights with you. Be sure to watch our sessions:

A Connected Ecosystem: The Foundation of Your AI Strategy

As organizations increasingly turn to AI for efficiency and insight, the foundation for success is clear: accurate, integrated data. This session explores why connecting your data ecosystem isn’t just helpful, it’s essential. We’ll examine how clean, unified data directly powers AI outcomes, with real-world examples highlighting differences in performance and engagement when data is siloed versus connected.

3. Hearing the latest updates from Blackbaud

Each year, Blackbaud shares news about the latest innovations they are cooking up to advance the mission of nonprofits. We know attendees love going to bbcon to hear what’s coming and get the chance to ask questions about the products they use daily. As long-time partners, we develop our strategy at Omatic to make sure all our solutions complement the Blackbaud products our customers use.

At last year’s conference, some popular topics were leveraging AI in nonprofit fundraising, connecting disparate fundraising systems, and creating flexible data ecosystems, which align with Omatic’s mission to help nonprofits prioritize their data management strategy and make the most of their tech ecosystem. This year, we expect to see continued discussion of Blackbaud’s announcement to move all critical workflows to web view by the end of 2025. We can’t wait to learn more about Blackbaud’s vision for the future and talk through solutions with nonprofit professionals.

4. Getting inspiration from top-notch speakers

Adam Grant is an organizational psychologist and bestselling author. His research on the science of motivation, generosity, rethinking, and potential has endless applications for the art of engaging with constituents, building relationships, and generating support for social good organizations.

We will also be eager to hear from the leaders at Blackbaud, including the CEO, Chief Customer Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and other innovators who shape the products that drive nonprofit success.

Finally, it wouldn’t be bbcon without some amazing sessions from nonprofit professionals on how they have used technology to advance their organization’s mission. We love to hear about the organizations making an impact on their communities. These speaking sessions are the heart of the conference, if you’re attending be sure to catch a session from a nonprofit professional in an industry like yours, whether that’s healthcare, cause and cure, higher education, K12, or another field.

5. Surveying the nonprofit tech scene

Looking through the sponsors list is like looking through a Saturday Night Live cast list—it’s a star-studded group. This conference is a perfect time to think strategically about your investment in Blackbaud and learn about tools that will help you get the most out of your tech stack. We hope you will get the chance to mingle with representatives from Double the Donation, GiveCampus, Microsoft, Npact, Volunteerhub, and other partners making products designed to help nonprofits succeed.

6. Snagging some swag

If you return from a conference without a suitcase full of swag, did you even go? Omatic will have tons of great freebies, including our famous t-shirts. We will even have some special flair for your conference badge. Mention that you are an “Omatic Fanatic” and share a quote about using our solutions to get some goodies.

Can’t make it to bbcon this year? Don’t miss out on all the fun. Stay tuned for our expert-led recap webinars.
